Today the 6th & 7th Graders:
- Celebrated, as appropriate, their grades on yesterday's Manifest Destiny Quiz
- Did correctives on the Quiz
- Reviewed key facts about the Mexican War, especially distinguishing between the Texas Revolution (1835-1836), the Mexican War (1846-48), & the Spanish-American War (1898).
- Watched a video on the Mexican War & shone on the 5-question quiz that concluded it
- Worked with their team in preparation for Monday's Mexican War Debate
For Friday
1. Continue taking notes & planning strategy in preparation for the Mexican War Debate, which has been rescheduled for Monday. Be sure you take notes from all three sources indicated in the assignment, including the Documents-Based Question Documents.
2. Begin looking over the first 20 words from the Vocabulary List for Henry David Thoreau's "Civil Disobedience." Quiz next Friday, 2/12.
