• Visited the highly impressive Greek Museum set up in the library by the 3rd Graders
• Acted out vocabulary words in preparation for Monday's Spelling/Vocab Quiz
• Discussed aspects of Melville's "Bartleby the Scrivener: A Story of Wall Street" - Click here to see some of the ideas generated by students during the discussion.

Assignments for Monday
1. Quiz over Spelling/Vocabulary-"Bartleby"-Part 1
2. "Bartleby the Scrivener: A Story of Wall Street"

• Finish reading the story.
• Post 1 discussion question per page.
• Be thinking of what you could write as a Prequel to the story. 
• What might have happened in Bartleby's life from birth to his job at the Dead Letter Office?
• What effect might working at the Dead Letter Office have had on Bartleby?
• What might have happened to him between his stint at the DLO and working as a scrivener at the lawyer's office?
• In all of this be considering what life experiences might have made Bartleby the person he is.
