Today our Sixth and Seventh Graders:
- Took their Spelling/Vocabulary Quiz over Lafitte, Set 2
- Continued reading Ch. 9 of a textbook (Nationalism and Nation Building)
- Did an activity preparatory to reading Herman Melville's short story, "Bartleby the Scrivener: A Story of Wall-Street"
- Finish writing your imaginary conversation based on the response, "I would prefer not to."
- Read the first 4 pages of "Bartleby the Scrivener: A Story of Wall-Street."
- Post at your blog 4 discussion questions, one for each page. Come to class prepared to discuss the first 4 pages.
- If you encounter words you can't define, do the following: Double click-->Right click-->Look Up-->Encarta. You will find the definition on the right-hand side of the page.
