- Began watching and analyzing a 1960s dramatization of "Bartleby the Scrivener." (See below.)
Assignments
For Tuesday, 12/1/15-Prequel to "Bartleby" - Account for the following:
- What might have happened in Bartleby's life from birth to his job at the Dead Letter Office?
- What effect might working at the Dead Letter Office have had on Bartleby?
- What might have happened to him between his stint at the DLO and working as a scrivener at the lawyer's office?
- In all of this be considering what life experiences might have made Bartleby the person he is.
